Indramat · ServoDyn D Servo Drive
This "Drive Runaway Axis 2" error indicates a conflict between the direction of the Axis 2 encoder feedback and the commanded polarity of Axis 2. This means the drive is trying to move in one direction, but the encoder reports movement in the opposite, or there's a misconfiguration in feedback/command polarity.
Click steps to track your progress.
Verify that Parameter P46 (Direction Axis 2) is compatible with the wiring polarity of the Axis 2 encoder and the E1/E2 command inputs to the drive amplifier.
Confirm that Parameter P41 (Encoder Data A2) accurately matches the specifications of the absolute or incremental encoder installed on Axis 2.
Ensure Parameter P43 (Drive Sensit. A2) RPM/Volt setting corresponds to the actual RPM/Volt scaling of the Axis 2 amplifier's command input (E1/E2).
Inspect Axis 2 for any mechanical binding or external forces that could cause movement independent of electrical commands.
Check all wiring connections and polarities for the Axis 2 encoder and the E1/E2 command inputs to ensure they are correct and secure.
