40

Battery Is Low

Indramat · ServoDyn D Servo Drive

What does 40 mean?

This condition occurs when the lithium back-up battery, located on the MOK 11 card, which is responsible for retaining CLM01.3-M memory (programs, parameters, counter status) during power OFF, falls below its minimum voltage level.

Common Causes

  • The 3.6-volt lithium back-up battery is depleted or has critically low voltage.
  • The back-up battery is disconnected or poorly seated on the MOK 11 card.
  • Faulty MOK 11 card preventing proper battery charging or monitoring.
  • Prolonged power off periods, leading to battery drainage.

Repair Steps & Checklist

Click steps to track your progress.

  1. 1

Turn OFF all power to the CLM01.3-M.

  2. 2

Carefully remove the Memory and Battery Module (MOK 11 card) from its slot (refer to Figure 2.3 in the manual).

  3. 3

Replace the 3.6-volt lithium battery with a new, compatible replacement.

  4. 4

After battery replacement, all parameters and program data will be lost; re-enter them from a backup or manually (refer to Chapters 4 and 5).

  5. 5

Ensure the new battery is securely installed and the MOK 11 card is properly re-seated.
