PUMP I=0 EVER

Kone · Elevator Control

What does 1052 mean?

The pump motor controller (codes 1052, 2052, 3052) has detected that the pump current is zero even when operation is commanded. This indicates a lack of current flow to the pump motor. The specific lift reaction is controller dependent.

Common Causes

  • Open circuit in pump motor wiring (e.g., broken cable, loose terminal).
  • Pump motor winding fault (e.g., open circuit in winding).
  • Failure of the pump motor controller's output stage (e.g., MOSFET failure).

Repair Steps & Checklist

Click steps to track your progress.

  1. 1

Verify the incoming supply voltage to the pump motor controller input terminals against nominal specifications.

  2. 2

Inspect all motor power cables and their connections between the pump motor controller and the pump motor for damage or looseness.

  3. 3

Verify the proper closure and operation of the pump motor contactor or solid-state relay when pump operation is commanded.

  4. 4

With power isolated, measure the resistance of the pump motor windings to check for continuity and open circuits.

  5. 5

Check pump motor controller parameters for correct motor type, nominal current, and drive enable configurations.
