   Inspect the pothole guard mechanism for physical obstructions, damage, or excessive wear that might prevent its free movement or proper deployment/retraction.

   Verify the status of the pothole guard position sensors via the Kone Kone Elevator Control's diagnostic interface or I/O status screen, confirming their accurate state.
