This is an advance warning for an I²xt overload, indicating frequent and excessively long acceleration processes with motor overcurrent, or permanent motor overload where Imotor > Irmotor. It signals an impending trip condition if conditions do not change.
Click steps to track your progress.
1. Observe the motor current (e.g., parameter P0005) on the drive display during various load conditions and compare to the motor's rated current.
2. Verify that motor protection parameters (e.g., C0020 Motor rated current) are correctly set according to the motor nameplate data.
3. Increase acceleration and deceleration times (e.g., C0026, C0027) to reduce current peaks and cumulative thermal stress during transient operations.
4. Check the motor and its cooling fan for accumulated dust, debris, or obstructions that might impede airflow, and clean if necessary.
5. Use an infrared temperature gun to measure the motor casing temperature and compare it to its rated operating temperature (if available).
