The motor speed has exceeded the maximum limit defined in parameter C0596. This indicates an overspeed condition potentially due to incorrect parameter settings, external load conditions, or control system malfunction.
Click steps to track your progress.
Verify the setting of parameter C0596 (Maximum motor speed) and ensure it is appropriate for the motor and application, and not set too low.
Compare the drive's reported motor speed (e.g., via diagnostic display C0002) with an independent measurement (e.g., tachometer on motor shaft).
Check the wiring and integrity of the speed feedback device (encoder/resolver) connected to terminals X8/1 to X8/10 for damage or noise.
Review the control system's speed command source (e.g., analog input, fieldbus, keypad) and verify its scaling and maximum output value.
If an external load can overdrive the motor, consider implementing mechanical braking or a regenerative braking solution to manage overspeed conditions.
Check speed controller gains (e.g., C0026, C0027) for stability, performing an autotuning routine (C0004=1) if available and safe to do so.
