078

PR4

Lenze · 9300 Series

What does 078 mean?

A checksum error was detected in parameter set 4 during loading or transfer via the keypad. This indicates a fault in the parameter data or incompatibility with the loaded software version. The Lenze default settings are loaded automatically.

Common Causes

  • Corruption of the parameter set file during transfer from an external device (e.g., PC, keypad) to the drive.
  • Attempting to load a parameter set from a different drive model or an incompatible firmware version.
  • Interference or electrical noise on the communication bus (e.g., RS485, CAN) during parameter upload/download.
  • Internal non-volatile memory (EEPROM) fault within the drive, preventing correct storage or retrieval of parameters.

Repair Steps & Checklist

Click steps to track your progress.

  1. 1

    1. Attempt to re-upload the parameter set from a known good source (e.g., saved backup file, original drive configuration).

  2. 2

    2. Verify the firmware version of the drive and ensure the parameter set is compatible with that specific version and drive model.

  3. 3

    3. Perform a factory reset of the drive (e.g., Parameter C0004 = 1) to clear all existing parameters, then attempt a fresh parameter upload.

  4. 4

    4. Inspect the communication cable and connections used for parameter transfer (e.g., keypad cable, serial cable) for damage or loose contacts.

  5. 5

    5. Manually enter critical parameters directly via the drive's keypad to confirm individual parameter entry functionality.
