An encoder error has occurred at X6/1 and X6/2 (when C0034 = 1), indicated by a current signal less than 2mA at these terminals. This suggests an open circuit or a faulty current signal encoder.
Click steps to track your progress.
1. Power down and lockout the drive. Disconnect the encoder cable from terminals X6/1 and X6/2.
2. Verify that Parameter C0034 is indeed set to '1' to configure input X6 for current signal feedback.
3. Measure the current output directly from the encoder (if possible) using an mA meter in series, confirming it is above 2mA.
4. Using a multimeter, check the continuity of both conductors of the encoder signal cable from X6/1 to the encoder and X6/2 to the encoder.
5. Inspect terminals X6/1 and X6/2 on the drive, and the corresponding terminals on the encoder, for loose connections, corrosion, or bent pins.
6. Apply a known 4-20mA current source (simulator) to terminals X6/1 and X6/2 (with C0034=1) to verify the drive's input functionality.
