x062

CE1 Communication error at process data input object CAN1_IN

Lenze · 9300 Series

What does x062 mean?

A communication error has occurred with the process data input object CAN1_IN. This can be due to issues with the CAN bus, wiring, or incorrect data configuration. The monitoring time for this communication channel can be set with parameter C0357/1.

Common Causes

  • Physical break or short in the CAN bus wiring connected to CAN1_IN port of the drive (e.g., terminals CAN_H, CAN_L).
  • Incorrect CAN bus termination resistors (120 Ohm) missing or improperly placed at the ends of the CAN network segment.
  • Duplicate CAN node ID (P5-04) assigned to the drive or another device on the CAN1 network, causing data collisions.
  • Mismatch in CAN bus baud rate (P5-05) between the drive and the CAN master or other nodes on the network.
  • Process data object (PDO) mapping or content configured incorrectly, preventing the drive from interpreting incoming data.

Repair Steps & Checklist

Click steps to track your progress.

  1. 1

    1. Power down the drive, check the CAN bus wiring to CAN1_IN terminals for continuity and correct polarity (CAN_H, CAN_L) using a multimeter.

  2. 2

    2. Measure resistance across CAN_H and CAN_L terminals at the extreme ends of the CAN bus network; it should be approximately 60 Ohms.

  3. 3

    3. Verify the CAN node ID (P5-04) of the drive and all other devices on the CAN1 network for uniqueness.

  4. 4

    4. Confirm the CAN bus baud rate (P5-05) setting on the drive matches the master controller's configuration.

  5. 5

    5. Review the PDO mapping configuration for CAN1_IN in the drive's software to ensure expected data types and indices are correct.
