x221

CDA-LOAD

Lenze · 9300 Series

What does x221 mean?

A checksum error was detected for the transferred profile data, indicating corruption or an incomplete transfer. This means the integrity of the loaded profile data is compromised and may lead to incorrect operation.

Common Causes

  • Data corruption during transfer from an external source (e.g., SD card, network share) to the controller's FLASH or RAM memory.
  • Faulty memory block within the controller's non-volatile storage where profile data is intended to reside (e.g., `FLASH_Memory_Sector_5_Error`).
  • Interruption of the profile data loading process (e.g., power cycle, communication timeout) before the full data and checksum could be written.
  • Incompatible file format or incorrect checksum calculation method used by the source system or the loading routine.
  • EMI/RFI interference affecting data lines during profile data transfer, leading to bit flips and checksum mismatches.

Repair Steps & Checklist

Click steps to track your progress.

  1. 1

    1. Re-transfer the profile data file to the controller from a known good source (e.g., verified project backup) and monitor the transfer process for interruptions.

  2. 2

    2. Perform a memory integrity check or diagnostics on the controller's FLASH memory (if supported) to rule out hardware defects in the storage area.

  3. 3

    3. Verify the checksum calculation algorithm and compare it with the expected checksum provided with the profile data, using an external tool or software utility.

  4. 4

    4. Ensure a stable power supply to the controller (e.g., `24VDC_Input_Voltage` measured at terminals `L+` and `M`) and check for transient voltage drops during data loading.

  5. 5

    5. Inspect industrial grounding and shielding practices for the control cabinet to minimize electromagnetic interference (EMI) affecting data transfers.
