30340

Data not compl. saved before powerdown

Lenze · i550 Protec Drive

What does 30340 mean?

Saving of the current parameter settings was unexpectedly interrupted by a power disconnection, resulting in an incomplete save operation. The drive may have loaded an older parameter set from backup.

Common Causes

  • Sudden or unexpected power outage (main power or control power) to the inverter during the active parameter saving process to non-volatile memory.
  • Manual disconnection of power to the drive while a save command (e.g., P99.01=1) was still executing or awaiting completion acknowledgment.
  • Transient voltage spike or sag on the control power supply (24VDC) that caused a momentary reset or interruption during the memory write cycle.
  • Internal power supply instability within the drive preventing a complete and reliable write operation to the non-volatile memory (EEPROM or similar).

Repair Steps & Checklist

Click steps to track your progress.

  1. 1

    1. Reconnect power, allow the drive to fully initialize, then manually execute a parameter save command (e.g., P99.01=1) and confirm successful completion via the HMI or software.

  2. 2

    2. Verify the stability of the control power supply (e.g., 24VDC at control terminals) and main power supply (L1, L2, L3) with a multimeter to rule out voltage fluctuations.

  3. 3

    3. Check the drive's fault history or event log for any concurrent undervoltage, power supply, or internal hardware faults that might indicate a power issue.

  4. 4

    4. Download the correct parameter set from a known good backup file using the drive's programming software, then ensure a successful save to the drive's non-volatile memory.

  5. 5

    5. Implement controlled power-down procedures, ensuring sufficient time (typically 5-10 seconds) is allowed for all parameter writes to complete after a save command.
