Abnormally Low Current / L3 Open Phase

What does E34 mean?

Abnormally low current or no current has been detected by the current transformer (CT) on L3. This indicates an open phase condition detected at L3 (secondary side of contactor), which can prevent the compressor from operating correctly.

Common Causes

  • Measured current is significantly lower than expected during operation.
  • L3 power phase is disconnected or has a break in the wiring.
  • Low refrigerant charge leading to reduced compressor load.
  • Faulty current sensor or CT within the inverter module.
  • Compressor not engaging properly.
