Address Setting Conflict

Mitsubishi Electric · FR-D700 Inverter

What does E46 mean?

There is a conflict of address settings, where a combination of automatic, manual, or remote control addresses coexist on the same network. This prevents proper system addressing and communication.

Common Causes

  • Duplicate unit addresses detected on the system network.
  • Address setting switches (DIP switches) are set incorrectly on one or more units.
  • Automatic addressing failed to resolve address conflicts.
  • Manual address assignment resulted in duplication.
  • Master controller detected conflicting unit IDs.

Repair Steps & Checklist

Click steps to track your progress.

  1. 1

Review and verify the address settings of all indoor and outdoor units according to the installation manual.

  2. 2

Ensure that the addressing method (auto, manual, remote control) is consistent across the network or correctly configured to avoid conflicts.
