Mitsubishi Electric · FR-A800 Troubleshooting Course
This fault indicates a short circuit on the FR-A800 inverter's internal or external 24 VDC power supply output, typically used for control circuit power or external sensors. The inverter trips to protect its internal power supply and connected devices.
Click steps to track your progress.
Disconnect all external devices and wiring from the FR-A800 inverter's 24 VDC output terminals (usually 24V and SD).
Measure the voltage at the inverter's 24 VDC output terminals. If the fault clears with nothing connected, the issue is external.
Reconnect external devices one by one, checking for the fault after each connection to identify the specific faulty device or wiring section.
Inspect all control wiring for insulation damage, pinched wires, or foreign material causing a short.
If the fault persists even with all external connections removed, the FR-A800 inverter itself may have an internal fault requiring service.
