Omron · NJ/NX-series Machine Automation Controller
The current flowing through the converter exceeded the specified value. This fault indicates an excessive current draw, often caused by motor issues, wiring faults, or drive malfunction, posing a risk of component damage.
Click steps to track your progress.
Inspect all power wiring (input and output) to the drive and motor for loose connections, damage, or signs of overheating, paying close attention to the motor cable.
Verify the mechanical load on the motor is not excessive or binding, ensuring the motor shaft can rotate freely without obstruction.
Measure motor winding resistance phase-to-phase and insulation resistance to ground (using a megohmmeter) to detect potential motor winding shorts or insulation degradation.
Check drive parameters for correct motor nameplate data, current limits, and acceleration/deceleration times against the machine's specified configuration.
