LOOP CONTACTOR FAULT

What does 402 mean?

The Loop Contactor auxiliary contact failed to pick up or drop out within the designated time, as requested by the DSD 412 drive. The detection time is set by Function #102, which can be 450ms or 3 seconds.

Common Causes

  • Defective Loop Contactor Auxiliary contact (check feedback at TB1-7).
  • Defective Contactor (open coil or mechanical binding).
  • Defective Pilot Relay LPR.
  • Interference from other elevator relay contact circuits.
  • Function #102 not set correctly for contactor type (e.g., small vs. large HP drives).

    Check the contactor for an open coil or mechanical binding.

    If using large contactors with large HP drives, set Function #102 to 1 (On) for a 3-second fault detection time; otherwise, set to 0 (Off) for 450ms.
