OPEN SCR FAULT

What does 912 mean?

One of the SCRs in the system is not conducting current as expected. This condition is checked only upon request through the PCU #998 Diagnostics CDU function. The optional handheld PCDU will also identify which specific SCR pair is faulty. A DSD Power Down is required.

Common Causes

  • One or more SCRs are failing to conduct current.
  • Faulty or disconnected SCR gating leads.

    Initiate a DSD Power Down for the drive.

  2. 2

    Run the PCU #998 Diagnostics CDU function to identify the non-conducting SCR.

  3. 3

    If available, use the optional handheld PCDU to identify the exact open SCR pair.

  4. 4

    Check the SCR gating leads for proper connection and integrity.

  5. 5

    Replace the identified open SCR.
