REVERSE ARMATURE POLARITY

What does 917 mean?

This fault is indicated during the F998 PCU Diagnostics Test. It signifies that the polarity of the Armature Voltage Feedback wires is reversed or that the wires are missing. Failure to correct this can lead to F909 faults and/or poor drive performance. A DSD power down is required.

Common Causes

  • The Armature Voltage Feedback wires are connected with reversed polarity.
  • The Armature Voltage Feedback wires are disconnected or missing.

    Check the connections on A1TB5-1 and A1TB5-2 of the Armature Interface PCB (A2) to ensure correct armature voltage feedback polarity.

    Perform a DSD power down after correcting the wiring.
