THERMISTOR FAULT

What does 907 mean?

The thermistor is found to be open or shorted. This fault can also occur if the machine room ambient temperature is below 0°C (as the resistance detected is too high) or if an open thermostat is present on larger drives. This fault will not shut down the drive.

Common Causes

  • Open or shorted thermistor.
  • Ambient temperature below 0°C.
  • Open thermostat (on larger drives).

    Check and/or replace the thermistor; it should measure approximately 200K ohms at 20°C room temperature.

    Verify the machine room ambient temperature is above 0°C.
