OVERSPEED FAULT

What does 97 mean?

The motor speed has exceeded the trip level set in parameter #12, as measured by the encoder. Parameter #12 defines a percentage of the motor speed value set in parameter #11.

Common Causes

  • Incorrect setting of parameters #10, #11, or #12.
  • Poor speed regulator tuning.
  • Velocity reference set above rated speed.
  • Intermittent velocity encoder operation.
