Schneider Electric · XW Pro NA Operation Guide
This Escalating Automatic Fault occurs if the DC voltage exceeds the High Battery Cut Out (HBCO) setting. It can also be triggered if batteries are disconnected at the DC breaker while the XW Pro is charging, leading to potential overcharging or damage to connected equipment.
Click steps to track your progress.
1. Measure actual DC bus voltage at the inverter's DC input terminals (e.g., DC+ and DC-) using a calibrated multimeter.
2. Verify the settings of connected charging sources (e.g., solar charge controller, AC-DC converter) for output voltage limits (e.g., bulk, absorption, float voltage parameters).
3. Confirm all DC breakers between the inverter and battery bank are closed and connections are secure to prevent accidental disconnections.
4. Review inverter parameter (e.g., P3-11 or 'High Battery Cut Out') and adjust if necessary, ensuring it aligns with battery manufacturer's overcharge protection recommendations.
5. Inspect DC bus capacitors for bulging or leakage, which may indicate a fault in voltage regulation.
