Schneider Electric · XW Pro NA Operation Guide
This Manual Fault, applicable only to Li-ion batteries, indicates that the charge current has exceeded the Battery Management System (BMS) limits. This can lead to overcharging and potential damage to the Li-ion battery pack.
Click steps to track your progress.
1. Isolate the charging source and measure the actual charge current entering the battery bank using a DC clamp meter (e.g., Megger DCM330) during charging.
2. Access the Battery Management System (BMS) diagnostics interface to verify the reported charge current and compare it to the BMS's internal maximum charge limit.
3. Measure the voltage output of the charging source (e.g., PV array voltage, grid charger output) and confirm it's within the battery pack's specified charging voltage range.
4. Review the inverter's configuration for the maximum battery charge current (e.g., Parameter B1-10) and ensure it aligns with the battery manufacturer's specifications.
5. Monitor individual cell voltages within the battery pack via the BMS to detect any cells exhibiting unusually high voltages or rapid voltage increases.
