BMS Status Lost

What does F90 mean?

This Automatic Fault indicates that the XW Pro is not receiving Battery Management System (BMS) status data from the gateway device. This communication loss can prevent proper battery management and system operation.

• Communication cable (e.g., CAN bus, Ethernet) between the gateway device and the BMS is disconnected, damaged, or improperly terminated.
• Failure of the gateway device to properly relay BMS data to the XW Pro inverter (e.g., internal software issue).
• Battery Management System (BMS) itself has powered down, malfunctioned, or stopped broadcasting status messages.
• Incorrect communication parameters (e.g., baud rate, protocol settings) configured on the gateway or XW Pro (e.g., Parameter C3-01 for CAN baud rate).
• Network congestion or electromagnetic interference causing data packets to be lost or corrupted between the BMS and XW Pro.

   1. Verify that the Battery Management System (BMS) and gateway device are powered on and their status indicators (e.g., LED for heartbeat, comms) are normal.
