This Automatic Fault occurs when communication with the SunSpec controller has been lost. This impacts data exchange and control for any SunSpec compliant devices integrated into the system.

1. Verify that the SunSpec controller and any associated devices are powered on and their communication indicators are active.
2. Inspect the communication cable (e.g., RS485 A/B wires, Ethernet) between the SunSpec controller and the inverter/gateway for physical damage and secure connections.
3. Check the Modbus ID (e.g., Parameter S1-01) or IP address configured in the inverter/gateway for the SunSpec device and ensure it matches the actual device setting.
4. Using a Modbus testing tool, attempt to communicate directly with the SunSpec controller to verify its responsiveness.
5. Power cycle the SunSpec controller and the gateway/inverter to reset communication modules and re-establish connection.
