FF0206h
External Encoder Implausible Values
SEW Eurodrive · MOVI-PLC SyncCrane Application
What does FF0206h mean?
This fault indicates that the external encoder is providing implausible position or feedback values to the MOVI-PLC® system. This can be caused by issues such as wire breakage in draw-wire encoders. Upon detection, the axis system is automatically stopped if operating in automatic mode.
Common Causes
- External encoder is sending illogical or inconsistent position data.
- Encoder signal is intermittent or corrupted.
- Faulty external encoder hardware.
Repair Steps & Checklist
Click steps to track your progress.
- 1
Inspect the wiring of the external encoder to the MOVI-PLC® encoder input terminals.
- 2
Measure encoder supply voltage at the terminal block.
- 3
Check encoder signal integrity by observing raw encoder counts or signal waveforms (if possible).
- 4
Verify encoder resolution and type settings in the MOVI-PLC® parameters match the physical encoder.
