The module's booting process has been repeatedly interrupted, potentially due to power loss, a CPU crash, or invalid user data. Upon this fault, the module will revert to factory settings. Persistent interruptions indicate an underlying hardware or configuration issue, risking loss of custom parameters and operational instability.
Click steps to track your progress.
Measure the 24VDC control power supply at the module's input terminals with a multimeter; verify stability and correct voltage level.
Remove any removable memory cards (e.g., SD card) from the module and attempt to boot; if it boots, the card may be corrupt.
Disconnect any communication cables (e.g., Ethernet, PROFIBUS, DRIVE-CLiQ) and external loads from auxiliary outputs, then attempt to boot.
If a firmware update was recently performed, attempt to re-flash the firmware to ensure its integrity, following manufacturer instructions.
If the module reverts to factory settings, re-download a known good parameter set from a backup to restore configuration.
If the fault persists, consider replacing the module, as it may have a hardware defect that prevents successful booting.
