F06310

Supply voltage (p0210) incorrectly parameterized

Siemens · DCM

What does F06310 mean?

This fault indicates that the measured DC link voltage is outside the expected tolerance range after the pre-charging process, based on the parameterized supply voltage (p0210). This could be due to incorrect parameter settings or an actual issue with the incoming line supply voltage. Operating with incorrect voltage parameters or an unstable supply can lead to drive malfunction or damage.

Common Causes

  • The actual measured AC input supply voltage at terminals L1, L2, L3 is significantly different from the value configured in parameter P0210.
  • One or more phases of the AC input supply are missing or significantly unbalanced (e.g., blown fuse, open breaker, loose connection).
  • Internal fault in the DC link voltage measurement circuit within the power unit module.
  • Incorrect P0210 value entered during initial commissioning, not matching the plant's true grid voltage.
  • Heavy voltage drop in the supply line due to undersized cables or poor connections, especially during pre-charging.

Repair Steps & Checklist

Click steps to track your progress.

  1. 1

Measure the actual AC line-to-line voltage at the drive's input terminals (L1-L2, L2-L3, L3-L1) with a true RMS voltmeter.

  2. 2

Compare the measured voltage to the value set in parameter P0210; adjust P0210 to accurately reflect the supply voltage.

  3. 3

Verify continuity and presence of all three input phases (L1, L2, L3) using a multimeter; check upstream fuses and circuit breakers.

  4. 4

Observe the DC link voltage (r0026) after the pre-charging sequence; it should be stable and approximately 1.35 times P0210 (for 3-phase AC).

  5. 5

Inspect all power connections from the main supply to the drive's input terminals for tightness and corrosion.

  6. 6

Cycle power to the drive and observe the pre-charging sequence; check pre-charge resistors for signs of overheating if fault recurs rapidly.
