The Control Unit has failed to transmit multiple setpoint telegrams to the Power Module, indicating a communication failure. This means the drive is unable to receive commands to control its operation. This loss of communication will prevent the drive from functioning as commanded and can lead to system shutdown.
Click steps to track your progress.
Power off the drive. Verify the integrity and secure connection of the DRIVE-CLiQ cable between the CU and PM at both ends.
Thoroughly inspect the DRIVE-CLiQ cable for any physical damage such as cuts, pinches, or severe bends; replace if damage is found.
Check the drive's diagnostic buffer for any additional faults that might indicate a broader communication or module issue.
Ensure that the Control Unit and Power Module are running compatible firmware versions; perform updates if necessary according to manufacturer guidelines.
Attempt to re-establish communication by cycling power to the entire drive system (Control Unit and Power Module).
If using commissioning software, perform a hardware configuration scan to ensure the Power Module is correctly recognized and addressed.
