This alarm signifies that the actual motor speed has either exceeded its maximum limit or deviates significantly from the setpoint, as indicated by status bits r2197.12 or r2197.7. This often points to an excessive motoring or regenerative load on the drive, or poor tuning of the speed controller.
Click steps to track your progress.
1. Check the mechanical system for obstructions, seizing bearings, or excessive load that might be impeding motor rotation.
2. Verify the integrity of the encoder cable, connections, and signals (e.g., A/B/Z phases) using an oscilloscope at the drive input terminals.
3. Adjust the speed controller's proportional gain (P1460) and integral time (P1470) to improve dynamic response and reduce deviation.
4. Confirm all motor nameplate parameters (P0304-P0311) are accurately entered into the drive and perform motor identification (P1910) if necessary.
5. Monitor the actual motor current (r0027) during operation to detect signs of motor overload or single-phasing.
6. Check the maximum speed limit (P1082) and the speed deviation tolerance (P2168) to ensure they are appropriate for the application.
