The parameterization of the motor holding brake or Safe Brake Control (SBC) contains an illogical or contradictory configuration, such as p1215 = 0 or 3 while p9602 = 1. This prevents correct and safe brake operation, potentially leading to unintended motor movement.
Click steps to track your progress.
Review and adjust parameter P1215 (Brake module type) to correctly reflect the installed brake or brake module (e.g., set to 1 for external brake, 2 for internal brake control).
If Safe Brake Control (SBC) is intended, ensure P9602 is set to 1 and P1215 is configured for an SBC-compatible brake module (e.g., not 0 or 3 if SBC requires a specific type).
Verify the brake opening time (P1216) and closing time (P1217) are set to reasonable values appropriate for the physical brake.
If SBC is enabled, confirm that all necessary safety-related parameters (e.g., P9501, P9601) related to safety functions are properly configured and acknowledged.
Check for the correct installation and cabling of any external Safe Brake Adapter modules if P9602 is enabled.
