The drive's internal hardware (safety or non-safety related) could not be correctly identified during startup or runtime. This indicates a mismatch between the expected and detected hardware configuration or a fundamental issue with processor communication, preventing the drive from operating safely.
Click steps to track your progress.
1. Power cycle the drive and check if the fault clears, as it might be a temporary detection issue.
2. Power down the drive, then verify that all optional modules (e.g., TM modules, CBE cards) are correctly seated in their slots and are compatible with the drive model.
3. Check the firmware version of the control unit and ensure it is compatible with all installed hardware components and the project configuration.
4. Back up the drive parameters, perform a factory reset (P0010=30, P0970=1), and then reload a known good parameter set created for this specific hardware configuration.
5. Review parameter r0947 (Fault history) for additional details or sub-faults that might specify which hardware component is causing the identification issue.
6. If possible, test by temporarily removing non-essential optional modules one by one to isolate the faulty or incompatible component.
7. Replace the control unit (e.g., CU320-2 PN) if the fault persists and no specific module is identified as faulty, indicating an internal hardware defect.
