Siemens · SINAMICS G120
This fault is part of a group (F01641, F01650, F01680, F30680) that is expected to occur temporarily during specific corrective maintenance procedures, such as replacing a Control Unit or the entire inverter. It does not indicate a persistent problem if the full replacement and recommissioning steps are followed. The risk is negligible if acknowledged as part of the procedure.
Click steps to track your progress.
1. Confirm that the component replacement (e.g., Control Unit, Power Module) was completed successfully and all connections are secure.
2. Perform a parameter reset to factory defaults (e.g., p0010 = 30, p0970 = 1) if parameter backup/restore was not performed prior to replacement.
3. Download the correct parameter set from a backup (if available) to the newly installed component using commissioning software (e.g., STARTER, TIA Portal).
4. Execute a firmware update on the replaced component to match the system's current firmware version, if necessary.
5. Cycle power to the drive system after ensuring all modules are correctly installed and parameters are loaded.
