Vacon · 100 FLOW Application Guide
The Quick Stop function has been activated, causing the drive to stop rapidly. This fault indicates an intentional or unintentional triggering of the quick stop safety feature, designed to bring the motor to a halt quickly. Understanding its activation source is crucial to prevent unintended stops.
Click steps to track your progress.
1. Identify the specific digital input or safety function (e.g., check P3.5.1.11 assigned 'Quick Stop') that initiated the Quick Stop and check its associated external device status.
2. Verify the state of all safety-related inputs (e.g., Safe Torque Off terminals) to ensure they are not inadvertently active or faulted.
3. Review the drive's fault history log for any preceding faults (e.g., overcurrent, overvoltage) that might have triggered the Quick Stop as a protective action.
4. Ensure the Quick Stop deceleration ramp time (e.g., P3.2.4.1) is set appropriately for the application and does not cause excessive braking torque.
5. Inspect the wiring of the Quick Stop digital input for shorts to active signals or ground, which could cause spurious activation.
