Output phase fault

Vacon · 20 Compact

What does 11 mean?

The current measurement system has detected an absence of current in one of the motor phases. This typically signifies an open circuit condition, which could be caused by a broken motor cable, a loose connection, or an internal fault within the motor windings.

Common Causes

  • One or more output phases are open or shorted.
  • Uneven phase current distribution (P1-04, P1-05).
  • Faulty output transistors (IGBTs) in the inverter stage.
  • Motor winding insulation breakdown.
  • Incorrect motor connection to output terminals.

Repair Steps & Checklist

Click steps to track your progress.

  1. 1

Inspect all motor cables for continuity and verify secure connections at both the drive and motor terminals.

  2. 2

Check the motor windings for an open circuit using a multimeter to measure resistance between phases U-V, V-W, U-W.
