Vacon · NX All-in-One Application
The drive's current measurement system detects no current flowing in one of the motor phases. This typically signifies an open circuit in the motor's power path, potentially due to a disconnected motor cable, a break in the motor winding, or a faulty connection at the motor or drive terminals. This can lead to the motor operating unevenly or failing to run.
Click steps to track your progress.
Perform a continuity check on all motor cables (U, V, W) from the drive's output terminals to the motor's terminal box.
Measure the resistance between motor phases (U-V, V-W, U-W) directly at the motor terminals — expect balanced resistance values matching the motor's specifications.
Measure the insulation resistance between each motor phase (U, V, W) and motor ground using a megger at 500VDC — expect a reading greater than 1 MΩ.
