Vacon · NX All-in-One Application
The heatsink temperature of the power unit has exceeded safe operating limits, specifically over 90 °C (194 °F), or 77 °C (170.6 °F) for NX_6 and FR6 series. An alarm triggers when the temperature surpasses 85 °C (185 °F), or 72 °C (161.6 °F). This indicates inadequate cooling or excessive internal heat generation, which can lead to component damage.
Click steps to track your progress.
Verify the operational status of all cooling fans within the drive and ensure unobstructed airflow through the heatsink cooling fins.
Visually inspect the heatsink for any accumulation of dust, lint, or debris, and thoroughly clean if necessary to improve thermal dissipation.
Measure the ambient air temperature directly surrounding the drive enclosure — ensure it remains within the drive's specified operating temperature range.
Review the drive's switching frequency parameter settings — consider reducing it if it is set too high in relation to the ambient temperature and motor load.
