Communication between the control panel (or NCDrive software) and the drive has failed. This is usually due to a defective physical connection or cable. Loss of keypad communication means the drive cannot be monitored or controlled locally via the control panel.
Click steps to track your progress.
Power down the drive and physically inspect the communication cable between the drive and keypad for damage.
Ensure the communication cable is securely connected at both the drive's communication port and the keypad.
If using an external keypad, try connecting it directly to the drive without an extension cable.
Try a different, known-good communication cable if available.
If using NCDrive software, verify the correct COM port and communication parameters are selected (e.g., baud rate, parity).
Power cycle the drive and the keypad, then attempt to re-establish communication.
