The coolant circulation system for a liquid-cooled drive has failed. This means the drive is not receiving adequate cooling, which will rapidly lead to overtemperature conditions and potential severe damage to internal components. This requires immediate attention to the external cooling system.
Click steps to track your progress.
Verify coolant pump motor operation and power supply (e.g., 400VAC) using a multimeter.
Inspect coolant reservoir level and top off with recommended fluid (e.g., 50/50 glycol-water mix) if low.
Check coolant flow sensor output (e.g., 0-10V analog signal) for appropriate reading, and clean sensor if debris is present.
Measure coolant inlet and outlet temperatures with an IR thermometer to assess heat exchange efficiency.
Inspect all coolant hoses and pipes for kinks, blockages, or leaks.
Purge air from the cooling system by following manufacturer's bleeding procedure.
