This fault signifies that the motor connected to the drive has experienced an overload condition exceeding the customer-defined overload settings. Sustained operation above the motor's rated current can lead to winding damage, reduced motor lifespan, or premature motor failure. The drive tripped to protect the motor.
Click steps to track your progress.
1. Monitor output current (P0-01) during normal operation and compare it to the motor's nameplate rated current (P1-03).
2. Mechanically inspect the driven load for binding, excessive friction, or changes in process conditions that increase required torque.
3. Increase the Motor Overload Factor (P1-07) or Motor Current Limit (P1-08) within the safe operating limits of the motor and drive.
4. Verify all motor parameters (P1-01 Motor Type, P1-02 Motor Power, P1-03 Motor Rated Current, etc.) are correctly entered into the drive.
5. Perform a temperature check on the motor casing using a thermal imaging camera or contact thermometer to confirm actual motor operating temperature.
