This fault occurs when the drive detects an overload condition that surpasses its specified rating for a sustained period. For normal duty, the drive is rated for 120% of nameplate current for 60 seconds, and for heavy duty, 150% for 60 seconds. Sustained overload can damage the drive's internal power components.
Click steps to track your progress.
1. Monitor output current (Parameter P0-01) during operation and compare it to the drive's nameplate continuous current rating.
2. Increase acceleration time (P1-10) and deceleration time (P1-11) by 15-20% to reduce current transients during speed changes.
3. Mechanically inspect the motor and driven load for excessive friction, bearing issues, or blockages, confirming free rotation.
4. Verify drive cooling fan operation and ensure heatsink fins are free from dust and debris; measure ambient temperature around the drive (should be within 0-50°C).
5. Confirm motor parameters (P1-01 through P1-07) are accurately programmed into the drive, matching motor nameplate data.
