This fault indicates that the drive has detected an undervoltage condition or power dip, which it could not ride through. Depending on parameter 501 settings (Coast Stop or Controlled Stop), the drive will either coast to a stop or decelerate the motor before faulting. This protects the drive and motor from operation with insufficient input power.
Click steps to track your progress.
1. Measure input line voltage (L1-L2, L2-L3, L3-L1) at the drive's input terminals using a true RMS multimeter during normal operation and during fault conditions.
2. Verify all input power cabling and terminal connections for looseness or corrosion, especially at the main disconnect switch and drive input terminals.
3. Review the grid stability and load profile of the facility; consider installing a UPS or input line reactor if voltage dips are frequent.
4. Adjust undervoltage ride-through settings if available (e.g., P5-01 to Controlled Stop or Auto-Restart) to attempt to ride through short voltage sags.
5. Confirm the input voltage measured matches the drive's specified nominal input voltage range.
