This fault indicates that the drive was unable to properly measure the motor's stator resistance, a crucial step for accurate motor control (especially in vector modes). This can be due to poor motor connections, a faulty motor, or an internal issue with the drive's measurement circuits. Inaccurate measurement will affect motor performance.
Click steps to track your progress.
1. Power down the drive. Disconnect motor from drive output U, V, W. Measure resistance between motor phases (U-V, V-W, U-W) directly at the motor terminals using an ohmmeter (expected values typically 0.1 to 10 ohms).
2. Verify all motor cable connections at both the drive and motor ends are clean, tight, and free from corrosion.
3. Re-attempt the auto-tuning sequence (e.g., P1-20 set to 1 or 2) ensuring the motor is stationary and properly connected.
4. Ensure the motor's nameplate data (P1-01 through P1-07) has been accurately entered into the drive prior to auto-tuning.
5. If a motor line contactor is present, ensure it is closed and providing power to the motor during the auto-tune attempt.
