This fault occurs when the Motor Overload (MOL) digital input is activated, indicating an overload condition detected externally or a misconfiguration of the input logic. The MOL input acts as a safety interlock to protect the motor from damage due to excessive thermal or current loading.
Click steps to track your progress.
1. Inspect the external motor overload relay (thermal or electronic) for a tripped status indicator and reset it if necessary.
2. Verify parameter P0-19 (DI Function) or similar parameter for the MOL input is correctly configured for the desired normally open (NO) or normally closed (NC) logic.
3. Measure the continuity of the external MOL contact and its wiring back to the drive's digital input terminal to ensure a proper signal path.
4. Check the motor's actual current draw using a clamp meter at the drive output (T1/U, T2/V, T3/W) to determine if a true overload condition exists (compare to P0-03).
5. Temporarily bypass the MOL input by removing its wiring from the drive terminal (ensure safety procedures are followed) to confirm if the fault clears.
