A self-diagnosis fault of the communication option card occurred, possibly due to noise or spikes on the communication line or a defective option board itself. This fault indicates a critical internal problem with the communication option card, leading to communication failure.
Click steps to track your progress.
1. Power down the drive, remove the communication option card, inspect its connector, and re-seat it firmly.
2. Inspect the communication cabling (e.g., RS-485, Ethernet) for proper shielding, grounding, and connection integrity.
3. Verify that communication parameters (e.g., Parameter P5-01, P5-02 if using internal serial) are correctly configured.
4. Temporarily disconnect the communication cable from the option card to isolate external noise sources.
5. Try a known-good communication option card of the same type to rule out the card itself being defective.
6. If the fault persists, replacement of the communication option card is necessary.
