End - 3

Auto-tuning Data Invalid

Yaskawa · E7 Drive

What does End - 3 mean?

The rated current set value is set too high, or there's an excessive V/F set value, or a motor iron core saturation coefficient fault, causing the auto-tuning results to be invalid. This is an alarm that indicates incorrect motor or drive parameter settings post-tuning, which could lead to suboptimal performance or protection issues.

Common Causes

  • Motor rated current parameter (P2-01) set significantly higher than the actual motor nameplate rated current, leading to an invalid V/f ratio.
  • V/f characteristic parameters (e.g., C2-01 for max voltage, C2-02 for V/f pattern) set incorrectly, causing over-fluxing or saturation during tuning.
  • Motor iron core saturation coefficient (derived from motor data) being miscalculated due to incorrect motor input data (P2-xx series parameters).
  • Auto-tuning attempted with a motor type unsuitable for the selected tuning algorithm (e.g., V/f control motor tuned with sensorless vector method via P2-08).
  • Internal drive hardware fault affecting current or voltage regulation during the tuning process.

Repair Steps & Checklist

Click steps to track your progress.

  1. 1

    1. Verify the motor rated current (P2-01) exactly matches the motor nameplate rating. Correct if set too high or too low.

  2. 2

    2. Check the V/f pattern parameters (e.g., C2-01 to C2-04) to ensure they are appropriate for the motor type and application, and that the maximum voltage (C2-01) does not exceed the motor's rated voltage.

  3. 3

    3. Ensure the correct motor type is selected for auto-tuning (e.g., standard induction motor, permanent magnet motor via P2-08 or H1-01).

  4. 4

    4. Perform a factory reset (e.g., A1-03 = 2220) and carefully re-enter all motor and application parameters from scratch before attempting auto-tuning again.

  5. 5

    5. If possible, attempt auto-tuning with a different, known-good motor (within drive kVA rating) to isolate if the issue is with the drive or the motor.
