Yaskawa · E7 Drive
An OH1 fault signals an overheat condition specifically caused by the failure or malfunction of the drive's internal cooling fan. When L8-32 is enabled, this fault will occur, indicating that the drive's ability to dissipate heat is compromised. Prolonged operation without adequate cooling will inevitably lead to damage of internal power components and system shutdown.
Click steps to track your progress.
1. Visually inspect the drive's internal cooling fan for physical damage, broken blades, or obstructions.
2. With power removed, gently attempt to rotate the fan blades manually to check for free movement and excessive resistance.
3. Verify that parameter L8-32 (Fan Fault Detection) is enabled as intended for this protection.
4. If accessible, measure the voltage at the fan connector pins to ensure proper supply during drive operation.
5. If the fan is deemed faulty, proceed with replacing the cooling fan assembly according to the drive's service manual.
