MOTOR STALL

ABB · ACS800

¿Qué significa 7121 ?

The motor is operating in a stall region, indicating it is unable to rotate or maintain its commanded speed due to excessive mechanical resistance or insufficient power. This fault is linked to programmable Fault Function parameters 30.10, 30.11, and 30.12.

Causas comunes

  • Excessive mechanical load on the motor that exceeds its rated capacity or the drive's output capability.
  • Insufficient motor power for the application, indicating an undersized motor.
  • Mechanical binding, blockage, or friction in the driven machinery.
  • Incorrect settings for stall protection parameters (30.10 STALL FUNCTION, 30.11 STALL FREQ HI, 30.12 STALL TIME).

Pasos de reparación & Lista de verificación

Haga clic en los pasos para seguir su progreso.

  1. 1

Check the mechanical load on the motor and compare it against the drive and motor ratings. Reduce load if necessary.

  2. 2

Inspect the driven machinery for any mechanical binding, obstructions, or excessive friction that could cause stalling.

  3. 3

Verify Fault Function parameters 30.10 (STALL FUNCTION), 30.11 (STALL FREQ HI), and 30.12 (STALL TIME) are set appropriately for the application.

  4. 4

Ensure the motor and ACS800 drive are correctly sized for the application's torque and power requirements.
