Internal fault
Danfoss · VLT 2800 Variable Speed Drive
¿Qué significa Internal fault ?
This alarm indicates an unspecified internal hardware or software fault within the adjustable frequency drive. It suggests a critical internal failure that prevents normal operation and often requires professional diagnosis or replacement.
Causas comunes
- Power supply board failure within the drive, affecting internal control voltage rails (e.g., 24VDC, 5VDC).
- Control board malfunction, including processor errors, memory corruption, or watchdog timer failures.
- Faulty or damaged IGBT power modules within the drive's inverter section.
- Sensor malfunction (e.g., current sensor, voltage sensor, temperature sensor) providing incorrect feedback to the control board.
- Corrupted firmware or configuration file, preventing proper drive initialization or operation.
Pasos de reparación & Lista de verificación
Haga clic en los pasos para seguir su progreso.
- 1
Record the specific numerical sub-code or error message (if any) displayed with 'Internal fault' for further diagnosis.
- 2
Completely power cycle the drive by disconnecting AC input power for at least 5 minutes to allow all internal capacitors to discharge.
- 3
Inspect the drive's internal components for any visible signs of damage, burn marks, leaking capacitors, or loose connections.
- 4
Verify that the internal control voltage rails (if accessible and safe to measure) are within specification using a multimeter.
- 5
Attempt to restore the drive to its factory default parameters (P0-01 = 1) and then re-enter essential motor and application parameters.
- 6
If the fault persists, prepare the drive for replacement or contact the manufacturer's technical support with the recorded fault code and any sub-codes.
