The frequency converter's control card has been detected as faulty and is no longer able to perform its critical functions. This component is essential for all drive operations, and its failure will completely disable the drive.

• Critical component failure on the control card, such as the central processing unit (CPU), RAM, or ASIC.
• Physical damage to the control card due to voltage spikes, electrostatic discharge (ESD) during handling, or mechanical stress.
• Corrosion or short circuits on the control card caused by environmental factors like humidity, dust, or chemical exposure.
• Unrecoverable firmware corruption on the control card that prevents booting or proper functionality.

   1. Record all drive parameters (e.g., using manufacturer software to upload and save, or manual transcription if no connection is possible). This is crucial for restoration.

   2. Completely de-energize the frequency converter and wait for the DC bus capacitors to discharge to a safe voltage level (<50V). Verify discharge with a multimeter at the DC bus terminals.
