AMA parameter out of range

Danfoss · VLT HVAC Drive FC 102

¿Qué significa 55 ?

During the Automatic Motor Adaptation (AMA) process, one or more motor parameter values were found to be outside the acceptable range for the frequency converter. This prevents AMA from completing and can result from incorrect motor data entry or unusual motor characteristics. The drive cannot perform optimal motor control without successful AMA.

Causas comunes

  • Calculated motor parameters (e.g., stator resistance, inductance) falling outside the drive's internal acceptable bounds during AMA.
  • Significant mismatch between the initial motor data entered (P1-20 through P1-24) and the actual physical characteristics of the motor.
  • Attempting to characterize a specialized motor type (e.g., synchronous reluctance, servo) not fully supported by standard AMA algorithms.
  • Motor connected with excessively long or high-resistance cables, leading to distorted impedance measurements during AMA.
  • Internal measurement error within the drive's control hardware or firmware during the AMA test sequence.

Pasos de reparación & Lista de verificación

Haga clic en los pasos para seguir su progreso.

  1. 1

Double-check all motor nameplate data (P1-20 Motor Power, P1-21 Motor Voltage, P1-22 Motor Current, P1-23 Motor Freq, P1-24 Motor Speed) for accuracy.

  2. 2

Verify that the motor type (e.g., standard induction motor) is compatible with the drive's AMA function.

  3. 3

Ensure motor cables are properly terminated, not excessively long, and of adequate gauge to minimize added impedance.

  4. 4

Attempt to perform a static AMA (P1-25 AMA Type) if dynamic AMA fails, as it may be less sensitive to certain conditions.

  5. 5

Perform a factory reset (P14-22 Load Parameters) and re-enter motor parameters manually, then retry AMA.
